How Sweet!...How Festive!!

Blessings of Gingerbread Mangers

The 8th Grade Students built Gingerbread Mangers after briefly researching architecture structures.  We compared and contrasted modern residential architecture with that of what our Lord's time; including materials, technology and sophistication of craftsmanship available locally for construction.  We also reflected on economic status, political issues, practical needs, aesthetics, taste and style of the times in which the two structures were built.
Finally, instead of edible gingerbread, we used corrugated cardboard
and LOTS of cake icing and CANDY, CANDY, CANDY!
The students created solid architecture designs from concept to completion; As well as, great maturity with the box cutters and hot glue guns which were used on the structures.   We had no major safety...WHEW! Well done gang! Merry Christmas.

Sorry..again..Mrs Flake needs to work on Blogging photo orientation for the New Year!

 ...nice LAWNMOWER!!!
